Default Rock dam being built across False River

It's official, there will be a rock dam "salinity barrier" installed across West False River starting this month. It will be removed Nov 1 (it'll be seasonal, like the gates at Walnut Grove), and officials say it is to stop saltwater intrusion into the lower Delta - due to the sever drought. So no more running from Frank's Tract to Antioch via False River! Now we will have to head north of Frank's Tract to the San Joaquin River and then head West to get to Antioch and beyond. This adds 5 miles to the distance getting from Frank's Tract to West of False River. Not a real big deal, but where will they place these rock dams next?

"Horseshit" ............... It's to slow down the salt intrusion so they have fresher water to send to southern CA
Holland cut used to flow both directions during tidal changes, ... hasn't done that since the canal.

I call it the brain tube, I've been telling her the more time she spends on it, the smarter it's going to make her.
