I call it the brain tube, I've been telling her the more time she spends on it, the smarter it's going to make her.

Do you guys really think Adam could leave well enough alone??? Cmon, the boat does 80+ now, which last I checked is faster than most grocery getters and more than PLENTY fast with a wife and 2 little kids aboard. You guys are silly.

Oh, for sure, I'm not trying to egg him on! I just don't know what he got for a family rig. Everybody keeps giving me a bad time that I'm going to put a big motor in my Party Cat - but NO WAY! I'm leaving that one a 55mph cruiser.....

He picked up a very clean DCB 23' (I think 23) Extreme V bottom with an old school 525SC I believe. It's a very nice boat and would probably run a long time IF he doesn't try to make it faster. Don't worry Dale, your Don will still run circles around the Carey. We should all do a "family" cruise together someday.

Those DCB Vs are nice little boats! He should leave it alone and just be happy with it. If it's anything like the 22' Nordic I had, they become ill handling anything past 85mph anyway. You guys should meet up with us Saturday afternoon! We're planning on taking the Don up to either Rusty or Moore's around 2:00......be there about 3:00?

A little mild modification like three pounds of boost and rev limiter removal never hurt anybody... Lmao.

Hey Dale wtf is a Don?

This thing is rock solid at 82 at the limiter at only 3 pounds of boost. I've got a lot of stick left, it make 5.5lbs at WOT. I would like to find the I'll handling speed, thats where it gets fun.

Maybe I'll try my labbed 32 first, right now it's got a 28

We might be changing plans - winds are supposed to be 25mph tomorrow, but nice again on Sunday. It's perfect in DB right now, but they're predicting high winds for tomorrow only (we'll be staying home if that's the case!).

Looks like a really nice rig you picked up Adam! My 22 Nordic ran right at 82 when I bought it with a stock Merc 502/415 EFI. I built the motor up to about 500hp and it only gained 5mph. It was stable as a rock up to 84mph, but the second it went over 84, it started chine walking like a mofo! It had K planes on it, and even those wouldn't stabilize it (unless I dropped them enough to scrub a few mph off, bringing it back under 84). Anyway, just saying that depending on the V bottom, sometimes you're just better off leaving them alone. As for The Don (Johnson), I don't think you've seen that one yet.......
