As many of you know I have been kicking tires for some time now. We finally pulled the trigger. We bought a 2003 Eliminator Daytona 25. It has a Teague 800 with under 150 hours. It has been for sale on the Span section. Check it out for pics. It was the one with the wrap. The wrap is now off and is all white.
Dan the owner lived in Ohio. We met half way in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Unfortunatly a blizzerd hit Friday night and literall shut down the state for 36 hours. All freeways were closed. Could not go outside. Winds steady 40 mph with 60 mph gusts with temps in single digits. Dropped a foot of snow. It sucked. We waited it out at a great hotel and got hammered with everyone else who could not leave. We finally met up Sunday afternoon and completed the deal. We left Cheyenne yesterday with drifting snow and huge sections of road covered with 2 inches of ice. With boat in tow it was way f..king scary. We got through it and made it home tonight about 6:30. Tough trip but worth it. Washed the boat tonight and let the neighbors hear the music of a blown big block.
I have to thank my wife Donna for making the trip with me. She was great and could not have done it without her. She is smoked and sleeping as I write this.
Dan, thanks for taking such good care of the boat. You were easy to work with and very fair with the price.
Thanks Drew for helping get me hooked up with the right insurance guy.
Ready for a DLB trip!
I'm tired and going to bed.
