Default Sat March 4 remembering Shortbus lunch run

Saturday March 4th we are going to meet just a few hundred yards east of the Lighthouse in Discovery Bay at 11am. This was the crash site of my very good friend Jon "Shortbus" Bloom on March 6th, 2015. F14, Seasick Rick, Tamara and me will be there rain or shine. We plan to go to Stockton for lunch at Nena's Mexican, one of Jon's favorite places. I'm pretty sure we will have to stop at Windmill and Porthole on the way home. Hope some of you can make it.

I'll be there in spirit. I still have buzzing in my ears. Plus I need to make sure my sister in-law takes all her crap out my house.

With parts of the Delta closed to recreational boat traffic we will probably meet at Rusty Porthole on Saturday at 11am. We won't be able to visit the crash site near Discovery Bay, unless the closure is lifted before Saturday.

Thanks RogerThat, I don't see that affecting Disco Bay going North or West. Looks like Short Bus run can happen, Also St Patties Day.

Unless I'm missing something ... besides a few marbles.

So it appears to get out of Disco we need to go towards Orwood and under the bridge?

I've got some fresh info coming, I'll try to clear it up, typical of our governing bodies the less people know ... the more $$ the system generates in fines.

    Default Delta access

On second look, and some different maps, talking to a bunch of peeps >>> If you live @ Discovery Bay ... Stay @ home.

If you are North of Bacon Island, It looks like you can boat. It appears that all or most of the smaller sloughs East and South of Franks Tract are restricted (no pleasure boating)

If the water cops are able to catch up with you guys, they sure deserve the privilege and honor of writing you a ticket, don't ya think?
