...to set up a run around here? What's the secret?

Buy the first round or maybe bring some hot chick for a
table dance at Tiki Lagoon??????
I call it the brain tube, I've been telling her the more time she spends on it, the smarter it's going to make her.
If there is someone in our group that has any sign of not being trust worthy, I will choose not to participate. We all leave a ton of value tie up to a dock with the confidence that all of us are 100% trustworthy.
I believe that if a man will lie to one he will lie to all. If he will steal from one he will steal from all. There is no Grey area here. He is or he ain't.
What is your thought on this?

I believe the situation Rocket-J is referring to has to do with me and an incident that happened at Banderlog's Hogan Opener last year. The situation he is referring to was a complete mix-up that got blown out of all kinds of proportions which I blame the store for that. Basically a situation where I was trying to walk and chew bubblegum at the same time and tripped on my dick in the process.
The store was not a marina store (there are no marinas at Hogan that I know of). It was the Chevron in Valley Springs.
Since this has now been aired out through no choice of my own, I will explain the facts of the incident so that everyone understands what REALLY happened.
One of the members of Banderlog got me a campsite and I owed him money for it. On top of that I needed to get beer and ice, and he needed a bag of ice as well. So I went to the Chevron in Valley Springs to take out money for him and get our supplies.
I got a foam ice chest (didn't own a real one at the time), an 18 pack of beer, and 2 bags of ice. While I was there I took out $40 from the ATM, and I owed said member $35 for the site. I brought everything up to the counter and I handed the cashier one of the $20 bills to break it. I guess at some point I spaced out for a moment and when she handed me the broken $20 back I either thought she was handing me my change or that I had ran my card already. So I pick up the beer and the ice chest and tell the cashier "I'll be back for the ice".
This is where things get interesting. I walk out to my truck and put the beer and ice chest in the truck. I then walk back in and grab the 2 bags of ice. Loaded those into my truck and left. At no point did the cashier stop me during the 2 trips I made into the store and say "Hey you forgot to pay".
AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER...the cops show up at the camp site right as we're getting ready to cast off for the cove. I walk up to them and at this point I'm confused, so I ask them what the problem is. They ask "Where's all the stuff you got at the store that you didn't pay for?" WTF!!!??? I repeatedly told the officers I had no idea what they were talking about and that I could swear I did pay for it, and they're throwing lines at me like "No we got you on tape" and "Were you trying to skip out on the bill?" blah blah blah.
So the cops allow me to go up to the store and straighten things out. I get there, and there's another cop waiting for me (a lot nicer than the 2 that came after me). I'm flat out confused and I say to the cashier "What happened? Did my card get declined or something?" and she responds "No hon, you never gave me your card." WTF!? Why the hell didn't you say something in the minute and a half it took me to load the stuff in my truck!?
So the cop pulls me outside and I tell him "Look sir, not only am I not a thief but I despise them. I've had $25,000.00 worth of musical equipment ripped off of me...I flat out hate thieves. I have a clean record, no priors, etc etc. This is all just a big mixup...I must have put the cart in front of the horse for a moment so to speak, and just simply forgot to give the cashier my card."
So he goes and talks to the owner and comes back out 20 minutes later and tells me "OK, honestly I don't think you intentionally tried to rip the store off. Just, in the future, slow down and make sure you pay before you leave..." blah blah blah. After which I walked back in the store and payed for everything, and all was well.
These are the facts of the incident...I'm not nor have I ever been nor ever will be a thief, and I do not appreciate being aired out as a thief on a public internet forum by someone who obviously got their information from others who also believe their twisted version of the story. I understand perception is everything and what the situation looked like...but some things just aren't what they seem and you cannot accurately judge a book by its cover. It is for this reason that cops and detectives do investigations...to get the FACTS and EVIDENCE straight BEFORE they make an arrest, not just simply throw a guy in jail because someone said they stole something. Get the FACTS straight BEFORE throwing someone under the bus. When you troubleshoot an engine that fails, you're better off finding out what actually happened...what REALLY caused it to fail...rather than assuming you know why it failed because of what it sounded like when it happened.
I left a station without signing my credit card. Stuff happens.
It is good to hear the truth. I did not mention anything specific hoping someone would fill in the blanks. Thanks you. There was miss-information. We are a small, tight group. We are bond to hear about everthing we all do, good or bad, and possibly not the entire story. For those who told me you were a thief, I hope they can get the story straight next time. I am glad you set me straight. Thanks again. Al
