    Default good resturaunts/bars in Clearlake???

I am new to this website but was told the DLB is a nice group. I have a mobil home in Clearlake however it has been awhile since I have been on the lake in a boat. Well the last time I was on the lake, Willow Point was the place to go. I have recently bought a boat and would like any tips on nice places to go. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Russ

We are often just at friends places but a couple spots are Richmond Park and Konocti. Norcalcat ws telling me about one a couple years back but dont remember it. You might also try posting this in the Norcal section. There is a couple of Clearlake regulars there too.

There a few good places, totally depends what you are looking for. Willow Point is no longer, there is a Mexican restaurant there but no docks. Across the lake in Lucerne, there is a great BBQ restaurant called the Boat House. They have live music and a couple pool tables. Lots of outside seating. Down in Lower Lake, there is Konocti always good for drinks. The food sucks. A bit further is Richmond Park. This is our favorite place. Great people and strong drinks. The owner’s are great people. In Soda bay there is a newer place called Water Colors. Really good food, upper end on price. In upper Lakeport almost upper lake, there is the Pit Stop, small dinner, greasy spoon.

Remember the lake turns really fast, and form the looks of it you have a small boat. I am talkign 5 foot chop. If that happens just wait it out, 30-45 minutes after sun set it lays down. No speed limit on the lake at night either. Be careful.

X2 on the last post. I have a place on Konocti bay, mobil home on the water. The best restaurant in my opinion is Watercolors in Soda Bay. There two weeks ago, California quisine, and really reasonable. They have sushie Sunday also. Another good restaurant is in Lakeport across from TNT's called Park Place, great pastas and california quisine. You gotta try the frugastia garlic bread.... You can use the docks at Library park for both places. I like Richmond park for thier hamburgers and Dan and Donna are good people. I think they have a web site...Richmond Park harbor resort .com. Konocti is the place for big time music and wild weekends. Been going to Clearlake for 30 years , I love the place. Be aware though, the water is low for this time of year, 11 feet down. Have fun . Watch your drinkin and driven, the cops are watching. Go over to jet boat cove , out in front of Red Bud park in Clearlake (south past Konocti resort)and race all the local jet boaters on week end afternoons. No noise limits at this time. Jim
