    ok fellas it's time for all of you to change gear oils and motor oils today!!!!! and since were on the topic you should really use a very good synthetic oil like AMSOILl in your pride and joys !!!!!if you don't have a catalog i can get you one !!!!TUNNEL T

    whats the differents between the mec synthtic oil and this stuff?? im having drew take care of my service really soon, so with my boat being non-high performance does it really make a difference????...ant

    ant ,im not sure what mec synthetic is ,but i think you might be askin about merc synthetic ,with the amsoil you can actually go longer on your drain intervals . you can go to there web site for more in depth info ,drain intervals high temp comparisions ,cold temp comp. ,and the huge variety of oils for everthing that we all drive !!!     shit where was this stuff when i was single
    yeah i ment the merc oil !! it's what came in our boat so i kinda stuck with what they recomended, ill ask drew if ill it will help me out at all with going over to a different oil...

    Does amsoil have an oil like the redline shockproof gear oil?

    Amsoil is also making a marine grade synthetic which has a better water contamination stability.
    Any of the Amsoil products are excellent, I've been using their stuff since the early 80's and have always been pleased with the results.
    DSI Dan got an extra 200-300 RPM's when I switched him over.
