Default Gramps made the 100 mph club.

And the weather was perfect. I wore my DLB t-shirt but not sure if I got in any shots. Lots of coverage though. channels 2, 4, & 7. A couple of newspapers, and Todd Taylor from Performance Boats. We should have lots of video footage. Todd Taylor & Gary Meeker from Jokers Wild Productions set up the car and boat with lots of cameras. 4 in the car and 3 or 4 in the boat. So the boat belonged to a Discovery Bay local by the name of Ed Stewart. A beautiful 36' Skater with 2 565" engines that were topped off with 10-71 blowers. The car was a Lexus LS430. Gramps was able to pull off 105 in the car and 130.4 in the boat. Not bad at 100 years old. An amazing day.

He gets more chicks than anyone I know. He likes hugs. I think he is pretty fond of grandma after 63 years too.

    Default Really, just phenomenal!

This guy was 20 in the roaring 1920's, his first car might well have been a Model T (produced from 1908-1927), he's been through Prohibition, the Great Depression, World War I and World War II, he's seen movies in black and white with no sound, he was here when Charles Lindberg made the first ever Atlantic crossing in an aircraft, he's seen the rise and fall of Communism, he could probably tell you about when Women weren't allowed to vote, he was probably over 20 when he saw his first television, he's lived a majority of his life without a microwave oven, and the list just goes on and on. What a time to have lived this long. And to be this active and energetic on his 100th birthday! I'm blown away.

BTW, did you guys see the duck you ran over with the boat? Cool shit. dlb representation with the T-Shirt... also too cool. Thanks for sharing this with us 211.
