Default need some pointers for lake Tahoe

Going up this weekend, Only been there a couple times. Last time I went up, I launched at the keyes marina and it cost me $100 to launch, and they said good luck finding a parking place after they took my money.

Anyone know of a ramp that is reasonable on the south side?

    Good Beaches?

Restraunts or bars on the water?

    Cant wait

    Hi Todd,
We will be on the lake this weekend.
Launching from Tahoe City on the north shore on Friday, so can't help with the launch, but The Keys is convenient. If the lake is calm we will go by the golf tournament.

The Beacon and Chambers landing are always fun.
Definately go and check out Emerald Bay, it is a good protected place on the south side.

I will be up this weekend also.

Keys should not be that much to launch. $30 in/out + $35 inspection fee =$65.
    Fuel is another story

    Good Beaches:
    Sand Harbor
    Camp Richardson (Beacon)
    Emerald Bay
    Rubicon Bay

    Food/Drinks:
    North Shore-Gar Woods (Wet Woodie)
    South Shore-Beacon (Rum Runner)

Really, You cant go wrong with anywhere in Tahoe. I usually just anchor up in the shallows and enjoy the atmosphere.

    Gonna be a great weekend!

Why do you need an inspection? Will they let my OT header boat on?
