Default Why is "Du Ya" printed on the DLB shirts?

Just think the DLB logo stands on it's own with nothing added. Just my $.02.

I have no ill feelings for the "Du Ya" guys. Actually appreciate the effort made to produce the shirts.

    Default Du ya dlb?

59 views and no comments. I guess I'm an island and my views are not shared by DLB. Sorry for bringing it up. If the DLB is comfortable being partnered with "Du Ya" name/logo who am I to argue.

Looking forward to the next run.

    Question

I am sure I think similar to you, but I don't know what you are talking about. Is this something new on the T-Shirts? A new batch of T-Shirts?

I didn't realize they had the Du Ya on them. I know he put some time in and got the shirts going...and they don't look bad with the Du Ya. Did he subsidize the price of the shirts?

    Thumbs down

Yes that does help, but it wouldn't help me buy it. I agree. What's wrong with what we had. I'm going to take real good care of what I have. It might become a collectors item.

Lightbulb My 2 cents.......feel free to edit

    First a brief history
The dlb is a loosely organized bunch of friends/boating enthusiasts meeting since early 2000 ??
Everybody agreed on the dlb name 2006-2007??
First dlb approved logo (my sig) by Seth maybe 2008 or so.
Final improved and approved logo by DSI Dan (ck his sig) shortly after Seth's.

I personally don't think anyone should be taking creative license with the dlb name/logo unless any proposed changes have been approved by a majority of the dlb founding plank holders/members. This could be done at any approved and sanctioned event (not) such as any planned run where a majority of dlb members could look over and approve/veto said changes. While all members ideas/opinions are welcome and appriciated, newbies should not be fu*king with the Chi............carma dudes

I couldnt agree more, this has and always will be for fun and should not be used to make money.I know what it cost to make shirts, someone made some cash!!!! I'm not against making money but not with someone else's logo. If I did a Smooth as Glass/DLB shirt,I would give them away as advertisement. My .02

There have been a few changes, all were requested and then voted on and commented on in these forums. Jen had some shirts made for the girls, she charged even money, and I gave a few away, so that endeavor cost me. I think 707 Dog, had the last batch made, same thing posted up and voted on them, charged what seemed like even money.

I like what Jeff said, and would go a step further, if one of the OG companies from this loose bunch wanted to co-brand and then charge to cover his cost, then I wouldn't have an issue with it. I don't know who/what a DuYa is? Am I just out of it?

I seem to remember some Poker Run Promoter guy, that...Oh never mind.

I always hold my Plank, does that make me a part of this unorganized misfit boating group?
I don't think there was money being made, but what do I know? I didn't even know I was a part of a group
So when is the next lunch run???

    Default Du Yah

I have nothing to say about Steve, but my first thought was "Do we have a corporate sponsor now"?

I have not had the best of luck with these shirts. First batch, paid for and never received the shirt for my wife. Second batch, wife shirt is too manly.
