Default For guys around Tampa Florida.

My wife and I are planning a trip to a resort in Lutz Florida and wanted to know if there are any lakes close that I can run my Kachina jet boat on. I would prefer a place with nice ramps and some kind of beaches to hangout on and not hard on noise(I have OTT Bassets with mufflers) and a reasonable speed limit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!!!

    Default Some info.......

    Hi,
I don't know of any big lakes to run on real close to Lutz, but if you head east on I-4 for 30 or 40 miles to Lakeland, and come in on Memorial Blvd, you will drive through lakeland and Lake Morton will be on your left, across from Honda M/C dealership, is a good ramp and park. This should be very tolerant for speed and a some rumble.
If you drive another 12 miles to Winter Haven or Auburndale there are numerous lakes (19 connected by canals) that will tolerate performance boats during reasonable hours, such as Lake Howard, and Lake Eloise that has Leggoland, speed is not a problem.

I live in Winter Haven, but my toy is down for a redo. Good luck !!
