    Default Imco

So I talked to imco about a stack tank to replace my t tank and they were telling me that they no longer use the weld on breathers but use a vented gas cap instead. Has anyone else heard this? If so would a vented ca provide enough venting so as to not vapor lock in a blown injected alcohol setup?

My caps are the vented ones and are drilled around the perimeter and flow very well. They have a stainless washer & light spring to prevent fuel lose.

I have the single rear mounted tanks from IMCO with a vented cap. I think they are a good idea. I run E85 and far much less moisture is going to enter the tank than from a breather. I have friends who vent their tank with a vent tube in the form of a curlew-q mounted in a return line bung. A cap is put over the vent tube when not in use to reduce evaporation and to keep out moisture. I have always been concerned about forgetting the cap is on and collapsing a tank. No possibility with the vented screw on cap.
