Will drilling air escape holes at the rear of the carb scoop help in performance at all?

In hopes it will flow air thru it, or that it will pull air from the holes?
No, it won't help. But spinning it around might do some good. Unless of course you think your driving that thing fast enough to actually put pressure in that box. Then by all means, leave it, and don't drill any holes that would let the pressure escape. Last thing in the world I would ever consider is drilling holes in my blower manifold.
