    Default Plug gap?

    Unsure what to gap the plugs.
    540tall deck 793HP
    chevy aluminum head
    pump gas
    MSD 6al
    unsure of compression ratio.

    You could get away with .045 easy.Maybe even .050. But it will just shorten the life of the plugs, gain you virtually nothing, and increase the chance of crossfiring inside the cap as the plugs age.
    .035 unless your drag racing, changing the plugs often, and you are looking for every last possible HP the engine might possibly have hiding in it.

    What you should be worried about is to make sure you gap them properly, AND there is no lint on the plug, or much antiseize.
