    Default Timing cover

Hi, Who makes a 1 piece timing cover that will clear a gear drive?
Done heaps of internet searching and no one actually gives the dimensions on how far out they will clear?
I got an RPC one not knowing and it hits the idler shafts need an extra 3mm space. Milodon have one but is there any others at all?, Thanks

The RPC brand is an imported piece I believe. By "stock cover", Cloyes is referring to a GM tin cover.

It would be what I would try, but I didn't want to suggest it since it may also need to be machined to clear. I always use Milodon or Donovan gear drives with anything I build, so have not run into the clearance issue.

Personally, I would try calling whoever made the gear drive being used to see what they suggest, instead of buying more parts that may or may not fit.

This cover, and others like it are built to run a dual idler gear drive. It the reason for the dimples in the front.

    Link: Edelbrock T cover.
I would have thought the mystique and fad of the dual idler would have been over by now.
Some how a cheap Chinese gear drive is look at as being superior to a good USA made chain deal. Or at least "cooler"
