Mike, like the man said C&J Engineering. Don't pass go, don't bother askig why, just do it. They will look and work better than the day Holley made them.

Hey Brian, he does great work, and its the least I can do considering I recommend silvolite cast pistons to all my competitors.

I thought I would put up a post just to show some of the guys that have never seen some of John at C&J Engineering's resto work.
These carbs are 50 years old. Although they hadn't been molested to badly, they showed their age. The dichromate was almost completely gone and mostly zink color. The iridite plating on the screws and linkage arms was rusted and pitted, and virtually non existant. Some of the smaller plated pieces were completely rusted like the bowl vents, bowl screws, and small screws in the linkage.
The fuel log was so rusted that somebody had painted it gold.
You have to see these in person to fully appreciate just how perfect they are. This is better than new. This is hand assembled by a master at his craft.
From the resurfaced base plate, to the accel nozzles, they are flawless. You cannot tell they were ever in service.

Now the sad news. RCL, after looking at the carbs, I cannot bring myself to send them to you to put on that boat. I will send you a nice set of 1850 600s in there place. When the boat is up to the standards for these carbs I will send them to you. Or, maybe to pat for use on the Nordskogs TP 427.

John is always up for a challenge and will do odd-ball stuff too:

Check out the fuel curve (A/F) on the 1,050 on my 565", the break specific isn't bad either: John does great work

As a side note OR another option for those that are reading this thread...

Joe Bunetic (sp) in Collinsville Illinois does concours restorations for factory ford tri power set ups and factory 2x4 set ups... he has correct date code/castings/parts for virtually every application/intake/configuration and does the strip/REplate/REcoat process... They look like brand new and will function the same way (like new)... Retired ford mechanic at one of the larger ford dealers in the St Louis metro area... Ive been to his house/shop and he literally has STACKS of intakes/carbs/parts... Along with his collection of 427 engines, cammers and his 7 liter cars / galaxies... Interesting fellow...
