I have been talking about buying headers for a couple of years now. I have a 505 BBC, innercooled, 8-71 supercharged. Would like to gather opinions if CMI Big Tube headers would be good choice as a set is available used. It is heading to the Dyno to see what power it is making, and guesstimating around 800 HP.
More specifically, rpm range loads for specific cubic inch motors
I have tested a lot of headers/manifolds on the dyno. Specificaly 850hp blown engines. The Eddie Marine's came out on top, in my testing. The fuel curve remained virtualy identical to dyno headers. I recomend these because I feel comfortable not re-dynoing a combo when the Eddie manifolds are installed. Dyno your engine with the complete system installed, whatever you decide to go with.
