Default Want to guess my HP?

Do you want to take a guess for me on how much HP my engine will make? It won't be run on the dyno so your guess won't be varified.

468 BBC Mark IV, stock stroke, .060 over, 13.25:1 compression, Pro Comp aluminum 320cc intake runner heads (2.3 intake, 1.88 exhaust), full roller, .714/.714 lift, 272/278 duration at .050, 110 centerline, dry Borla upswept style headers, Mallory mag II, and for now a dual plane intake with a spacer and a 850 Holley.

Eventually my MFI after it's been professionaly flowed will be used. The guy that built it said about 620 HP with my intake and carb and about 650 HP with my MFI. A different engine builder told me around 750 HP with either intake.

Anyone want to take a guess?

I would be VERY surprised if that engine makes 750hp with that manifold. Especialy with the type of RPM typicaly required to make that type of HP with that small of CI. The cam is pointing to higher rpm also so I would guess the manifold is one of the big killers right now.
    Unported heads???
My guess, 600-650hp at best depending on dyno/correction factor used.

Sounds like a pretty nice combination except for the dual plane manifold!! Choker!!

Do you have flow #'s on the heads and what type of dual plane. I hope it is at least an RPM-Air Gap.

The intake is an old C427X Edelbrock, it's a stepping stone until my MFI stack system is flowed ($$$). I'd say the C427X is most similar to a Edelbrock Performer RPM (non-air gap).

I take my 680 back, 650max Put a real intake and a 1050 and I bet you see about 725-740. BTW Wilson has them in stock.

With those flow numbers with a Victor Jr. and a 1050 Dominator I would think 730-750 is possible( I'd play it safe and would say 740+/- 10) But with that intake on it I'd say take 60-80 hp off of 740, so maybe 670 and that is on the high side. That manifold is going to want to give up at 5,800-6,000 and the cam is going to want to go to 7,000.
Be happy if you get 650 out of it with that manifold.

When will it hit the dyno ?

Probably never. I don't know what the current impellor is that's in it but I have a C cut impellor waiting for the project. Maybe the C and a impellor chart will get me a close approximation.

I know that intake is going to choke the crap out of it, but I'd rather spend the pennies on getting the MFI flowed rather than a better carb/intake setup.

    .
I should have read the first post twice.... I would have known that.

But you might want to check at Ed Hale's for the cost of a break in and 4-6 pulls ? I might be worth it.

Are you kidding me? You guessed 60 more HP than the builder guessed, that ought to be worth at least a beer or two. Allmost free HP. J/K
