    Default Holly Reg

Will a Holly regulator, 3/8" NPT in two 3/8" NPT's out, to a fuel log with a Holly blue pump flow enough for a mild blown BBC Mark IV? Dual 750's.
    Don't have motor specs.

That would have to be a very mild BBC. I would run it. The regulator only has a .220 passage in it. Its VERY restrictive.
As for the pump, its marginal at best with a very good free flowing regulator. Any resistance to flow other than the carbs needles kill the flow out of that pump. Big lines, big regulator, CORRECT sized needles, and it might be OK.

Engine size and boost are the 2 biggest deciding factors if its enough, and you don't mention either.

I tried it on a Super Gas car with a 427 and a single carb and it ran out of fuel mid way through second gear. -8 from the tank to the carb, no forged 90s. YMMV.

He may have been talking about the newer regulator they have. I was talking about the old one - this was back about 86ish. That was the last thing I used an electric pump in. I wound up duplicating what I had and feeding each bowl separately. Lot 'o' shit to feed a mostly stock L88.

The 3/8 in and out is still a POS. The 3/8 in X two 3/8" out is only marginally better. It still has the same .220 orfice in it. Its really more of a convient way to fuel a dual feed than anything else.
The 1/2" in and out, and the one 1/2" in X two 1/2" out are actually pretty good regs for the money. I use a 1/2" in 4 -6 out Holley and love it.

It's a friends deal. I thought the reg was marginal and I told him to switch to a mechanical pump for starters. Who ever started the re rig has the fuel pump mounted below the stringer down in the bilge to boot. If I get him to switch to a mechanical pump, Clay Smith, what reg woould you recommend to run to a fuel log with two -8's in and four -6's out?
I'm trying to get the build specs out of him, don't even know what boost he's running, timing, is it stroked...the usual unimportant details.

Holley 12-704 reg is the best bang for the buck. Hooked to a Clay Smith with the right sized lines, it will support in the excess of 1000HP
