The H2o AN fittings that thread into the caps are supposed to be straight thread with an o-ring and male tapered on the other. Whoever had this thing before me did one of three things. Flat out cross threaded it, used a pipe thread, or torqued it beyond stupid. I have the correct new fittings, but am afraid I will just bugger them all up trying to force them. Where might I find the correct tap to clean up these threads? They are far from trashed and don't need heli-coils. Local machine shops have no clue. I try to explain and they look at me like I'm from Mars. I'm trying to clean it up to sell and don't want to sink any more cash into it. Those stupid fittings set me back almost $30 alone...Help!
