Just can't help yourself can you Hass.
Still trying to figure out where all this things are hiding. Because none of them are showing up in the results or record books.

At least the Gen 1 SBC had left a pretty deep scare in the record books, IN ITS FIRST YEAR!

Here we are 15+ years later, and nearly a scratch from those master pieces of engineering.

But they are the King of U tube and the dyno rooms.

Just put you a couple turbos on that puny engine of yours before one of these LS deals happens along & kicks sand in your face.

I believe thats why they are doing it with a pro-charger. If it were turbocharged it would be easy to have the boost to early and blow the crank right out the bottom. If you watch the boost curve of one of those chargers, the boost comes in as you get high in the rpm range. Much easier on the engine than NOS or a large direct displacement blower would ever be. It could be done with turbos & good boost control, but it would be real easy to get greedy with the boost curve & blow it.

I'm doing a 454 lsx right now giving it to my father, not sure if going turbo, screw blown or centrifugal. Leaning towards a whipple though.
Going in a caddy xlr, looking for 1100 hp or so, should make a nice ride

Well I drove down into TX last night to go watch a little street-grudge racing. My bud Eric has a little mustang with a transplanted LS engine , cam ,NOS, throttle body, a few other little mods. On drag radials this thing can be driven to the track and run in the 5's. Its a bad bitch for a street car. The opponent that showed up is another guy I have known for many years that ran a pro-mod for a long time, decided to move back to the street. 69' Camaro, back halved, ladder bar car, 632cid, lots of nos, beautiful car that can dip into the 5's too.
They ran about 6-7 times, couple from a dig, and several rolling starts. The LS kicked that ass.

The LS had stock lifters-pushrods-rockers, stock heads, 408cid, good rotating ass., obviously the 632 was all aftermarket, full roller, Brodix heads, dom carb, some kind of trick NOS sys.
