Default Dyno Recommendations in So Cal (Ventura County)

    Hey guys,
I'm in the process of building an EFI blown 540 for my 21' Rayson Craft V-Drive and want to spend the extra money (insurance ) to have it tuned on a dyno. I'm having a custom cam ground and still have a couple more things to do before it's ready, but I want to start getting someting lined up.

I live in Ventura County (Moorpark), does anyone know of a dyno shop that is experienced in blown EFI deals that is relatively close (within 70 miles)?
BoostPower is really close, does anyone have experience with them?

    Thanks!
    Sean

Ken Duttweriler in Saticoy is the only one I know of near there. If not there, check out the Vrbancic brothers in San Bernardino. It's a bit of a drive but worth every mile. There's also Westec.

I believe Jim Grubbs Racing in Valencia is within your mileage range as well.
He's got a good reputation with the boating guys too I think, but I don't
have any personal experience with the shop.

Alexi at Boostpower, Gordie at Paul Pfaff Racing, and Carson Brummett in Pasadena are all boat people and EFI gurus.

Having the original tune on the dyno is great but you will want to learn the program yourself also.
You will need to learn about datalogging and fine tuning the cruising, cold and hot cranking fuel, as well as the target maps.
I would also suggest running closed loop full time.
What brand is your ECU ?

Twin Turbo 1800 HP V-Drive lake boat

Steel, the V-Bros are in Ontario not San Bernardino a little closer. Bob and George are great to work with and understand how forced induction works...BBD
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

Update Found my old Sanger 12/7/14 in Reno.

Thanks Unchained. I agree 100% and planned on doing just that. I'll be using MS3x and I already have Tunerstudio for tuning and MegaLog Viewer to data log. I'm building the headers and planned on installing a wb02 so I can run closed loop.
I guess my main concern is the timing curve since I wouldn't be able to hear knocking as easily with this set up and I've been told they can detect knocking by changes in the torque curve (not sure if that's correct or not?).

Hello, we do DYNO tuning in house with A cell room and 2 propshaft DYNO machines. Unfortunately our schedule is full for about 30 days however if you choose another location and need a tuner, I can come assist if you have a need. If not feel free to email us your Efi map for review. I am sure you ran it by now. Thanks 👍
