Yes they are 385 heads. Without numbers I couldn't tell you if they are 429 or 460. There are numbers on those heads, you just aren't looking hard enough. Look around the area over the exhaust. See pic

    Cool

The heads are D3VE-A2A and the number may be found cast on the underside of the intake runners, like this:

If so, then they were cast on January 16, 1985. If not, then they were cast on January 16, 1975. Based on some of the valve train hardware, they might have been 460 marine heads but considering they could very well have been reworked since factory it's hard to say from the pictures posted.

There are 385 Series cylinder head casting numbers missing from the above pictured list, and there are also head casting numbers listed that do not exist within the 385 Series cylinder head family (the incorrect casting numbers shown above are actually associated with another Ford engine family).

    Missing: C8VE-E; D0VE-A, D1VE-AA, D2VE-AA, D2VE-A2A, D3VE-A2A

    Incorrect/non-385 Series: D3AE-A2A, D3AE-FA

Also, the CJ/SCJ head has a 2.25" intake, not a 2.19" intake as shown in the chart.

This list is for carburetted heads only.
