A very astute member on the boards once said many years ago, you can screen your oil, or you can filter it. down More than a few test have shown that particles in the excess of 10 microns are what cause wear in an engine. That filter is rated ar 45 microns. Some of the screen filters like Pure Power, Pure Filter and system One have filters that they claim go down to 30 microns. Still too big for my liking.
Sleeper CP ran a System One for awhile and was not pleased with the looks of his bearings. One of the reasons he went on the filter quest, and did his research on filters and filters ratings and flows. He did his homework.
I see a place for filters like this on say the supply line from a dry sump tank to the pump. but still using a conventional filter between the pump and the engine. Perfect for protecting the pump.
I will be using a a System One on the engine we are building for Bills 27ft'r, but it will be a pre filter. When we get the setup done I will post pics of the setup.

It has a better rating than a Wix or Napa racing filter which is 60 microns, but I personally would rather run a Wix Racing than a screen. Even a Wix/Napa would require religious oil changes. JMO

This thing made by the company that cut your billet blower manifold is way cool. But the 200* rating isn't
