Default alittle lean pop at 1500-2500 range

Hey guys i have twin 1050 Holly 3 circuit with 4.5 pv and 84 jets in all corners. 600" force feed innercooler, Whipple 8.3 with vacuum bypass valve on blower. I am in vacuum when the pop happens. I am getting a little lean pop out of carbs when cruising at about 2000-2500 rpms and pulling throttle back real slow down to about 1800-2000 rpm i got a little pop out of carbs. What fuel circuit are the carbs running on at that rpm range so i can addded alittle fuel?

    Thank you

Is this the same motor combo or is the Whipple new?
How do you like the 8.3 Whipple?
What power is the motor putting out?

New set up, the 8.3 is nice makes huge TQ and good HP. That being said very low boost is getting 1100HP pretty easy. The one thing i dont like about it, at idle you can hear the gears load and unload.......

Going to drop air bleeds from 80 to 60s and start there.

You are on the main jet at that RPM. I have to believe you are way lean with that jetting. Thats like single carb N/A stocl Holley jetting. Are these blower carbs? Not that it matters because your're not in boost, but are the PVs manifold referenced?

The smallest jets I run in a 1050s is 92-94 square.

Yes they are blower carbs, I guess Holley built them they are marked from and rear blower carbs. On the dyno we were 11.5 afr all the way threw. They did not have power valves we add them and jetted up on the down with a wideband. Not sure if the pv are referenced.
    Thank u for your help

Why didn't you get this lean condition on the dyno? Is there anyway you could have some sort of air leak now that its all hooked up in the boat?

More like a fuel delievery problem.

I dont think they put a load on the motor that low in the rpm range. Fuel psi is solid at 7psi right at the fuel log.

The setup was changed from the dyno, I would try and go back to the dyno setup and see what it does?
What does the AFR reading show when it pops?

In think he means they didn't have PVs when he bought the carbs. They installed them when they did the dyno testing.
Its my guess that because they didn't pull the engine down that low on the dyno at part throttle, that its lean.
Chances are the testing was done above that point, and all done WOT.

Yes 100% right, the set up has not been touched from the dyno runs.

Still think its lean. You know what you are currently running. Try going back to the jetting the carbs had without the PVs, or at least put in the same jets and leave the PVs. It isn't going to go that rich just because the PV might open.
