    Default Ignition box

Do ignition boxes such as this one make a difference for a race/lake boat or are they just added weight? http://www.msdignition.com/Products/...Rev_Limit.aspx

and 10X as expensive, and not nearly as reliable. Those cannonballs are damn near bullit proof.

They don't weigh anything. And it wouldn't hurt your set up. JMO Now depending on what you have now, it might not help or matter either! I run that setup it has been very reliable but I didn't notice any change going from. Dual point either.

the biggest change I saw on a 9.5/10 to 1 T ram BBC with a dual point was starting and long idle periods. Not much else

Nothing wrong with them that a 4" bore and 11.5 to 1 couldn't fix

    4" bore What is that .125 over ? = 302 ? , I feel a bit safer throwing that 283 Crank in a 327 block

I have fond memories of that 283 . As a teenager i was 16 or 17 , we put one together and slapped it in my first car a 73 vega hatchback along with a 4 speed, I was in heaven

Back in the day(327s didn't always exist) boring them .120 was a common bore and competly safe on post 58 blocks. 301 Chevys with 30-30 Duntovs were being built 10 years before GM ever built a Z28.

Do they make a difference? Show me a race boat that isn't running either some ignition box or a magneto.

Default Im starting to rethink mine

Anyone familiar with the hidden issues these little boxs can have on your engine that go un-noticed unless your dowloading data every run. Choose another manufacturer so sayeth some guys from NASCAR if you cant, I have no reason to doubt them.
