Default Need some help with intake bolts.

I can't seem to keep them tight. Every time I go out they come loose. The details are, Dart pro 1 heads, chevy tall deck block, mersch blower manifold, billet adapters for the tall deck to standard deck manifold. Any ideas appreciated. These bolts are actually coming finger loose and backing out within 10 minutes of run time.

Any kind of sealer on the threads will fix it so you can't turn the bolts with your fingers...Might take 3 re torques to get the gasket to quit squishing..If they come loose with 10 min of run time how tight are they to start with?

I tightened the hell out of them and they backed off with about 6 hard runs. At the end of the last pass it was spraying water out the front by the water crossover. I heard that detonation can cause this. I can't see how it possibly could but I did hear it in the past.

Have you tried a new set of bolts and torquing them down to specs ?

All your mounting surfaces straight , Nothing warped ?

gn7 is right about the anti sieze anytime you putting a stainless or metal bolt into aluminium you really do need it

MMM. Lets see here. Aluminum intake, steel spacer and aluminum head. I think I would get a tall deck manifold. I have never had good luck with those spacers. Then liquid Teflon thread sealer.

No need to delete it. You can never say the "D" word enough around here. Besides, everytime somebody uses the word "DETONATION" on the internet, the governments crawler programs go ape shit!
