Very sad news. Not to many know the full depth of that man's impact and contributions to the industry. Definitely one of the giants. Godspeed.

As a kid i was in awe of the big great hot rod names in the sport of horsepower.. At my age now I have seen several big names pass away and reality says more will come. Crane was one of the biggest of my early memories. I am glad i had a chance to live and witness the real pioneers of the sport of racing engines and use the Crane product. Rip Harvey.

Back in the day while testing at Miami Stadium we were having problems with our engine. I was driving a Patterson for Ralph Barker of Niagara Falls, N.Y. Harvey offered his garage to work on the boat. Yes he was a great man to the world of racing and a very nice person also, Rip Harvey it was nice to have met you
