    Default COLA cranks

Does COLA cranks still exist? Can't find anything with search except a few places selling small block cranks on close-out. Someone told me a while ago the company was only making small block cranks anymore, but would like some good info. I'm interested in a bbc crank that is for sale and would like some info before I go to look. Thanks for any help.

No, they're closed up. Like you said, there are some SBC cranks out there, but no BBC cranks

Thanks for that, would you have an idea on when they stopped producing bbc cranks, the one I'm looking at is supposed to only have about 6 hours of run time but if its 10 years old that's could be pretty much bs. Thanks GN, you are such a wealth of info and very much appreciated.

They popped in and out of existance around 2005 or so. They were making cranks as Titan for awhile around 2007 if I am not mistaken. I would say 2007 would be the last of them. I am amazed at the number of SBC cranks they must have liquidated for them to still be out there.
The age of the crank means nothing. Its how many hours it has. They are damn nice cranks made from excellent material, If the price is right and it mags, I wouldn't worry about WHEN it was made usless you know it was a blower crank or a jillion runs on a NOS deal.

Thanks for the info. I just meant most guys don't pay that kind of cash on a whim and let it sit for years to only get 6 hours of run time. Thanks again.

I know guys that have paid way more than that and the crank never saw the inside of an engine in 6 years.

But you're on the coast with all the cash, eastern boaters rely on the crumbs that are left. Thanks for the info I think I'll make the drive to check it out, cola crank and carrillo h-beams for way under a grand.

If this is the Competition Products clearance deal, I'd proceed with caution. It's almost guaranteed to be a second or blem.

I think he said this crank is older than that.

If they have Cola SBC cranks, they could very well be that old. That wasn't that long ago.

That's a smokin deal if all checks out. I'd have the crank wet magg'd. As a seller I've made the mistake of "assuming" a crank was good and it's come back to bite me in the ass. It's no good for the buyer either. The seller should be willing to do it as part of the sale.

I have two brand new cola BBC cranks that have never seen a second of run time. No, they are not for sale. Good cranks.
