    Default Dropping my motor off....

...at Amos Satterlee's shop next week for a refresh/rebuild (we'll see which after it's torn down). I've heard nothing but great things about his work and heard he holds a record for fastest jet hydro.

Anyone here had any experience with "Famous Amos"?

    Default Legend

He is a legend in the drag racing world. I'm sure his office will reflect 100 years of his involvment in motorsports.......Oh wait, he is only 95, so 90 years.......MP

I do. He has worked on some famous(no pun intended) race teams in the Ford camp tuning mostly Blown Fuel SOHC engines. He and Earl Wade are contemporaries, and are both very highly respected.

He still works on some of my customers engines from what I hear, although I have kind of lost track of La Habra in the last 20 years.

His son Larry was killed in a tragic accident awhile back. Kind of threw everyone for a loop.

I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Amos. In my opinion, he is right there at the top of the heap. RR
