Put two 450's on it. That could support 650-700 hp easy enough.

X2 and itll be nice and snappy on the throttle response!

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

WTF, no 660s"?? the Godfather of all high performance carbs?
I hate 450s. Machanical secondaries and no secondary accel pump. When you bust open all eight barrels, thats alot of open throttle for two pissy accel pumps

Nothing wrong with 2 750s on that deal. But if I was going to change them, I go with 2 650 DPs

If it was 500 incher turning 7500 you'd both be dropping 2 Dominators on it in a heart beat. But a 468 turning 6000 , and you drop it all the way to 900 cfm using the 2nd worst carb Holley builds.

    F'n ey, man.

Seriously...I don't know if you remember my Bahner when it was a lake boat, but it had iron heads, a flat tappet and a Weiand with (2) 4781's and the thing ran just fine. Turned a B 6200.

If you want turn-key upgrade, same HP, and all-weather all-altitude runability, there are newer options:

    10-second daily-driven small block:

Thats pretty cool beer30. Is it speed density and how big a injector can you put in the tb's.im sure itll take boost too right3 jus run a 2 or 3bar map and of courae how much.got some farmer that are wanting me to help em do some ls engines on their irrigation pumps and we need em to sip fuel.one fella wants me to put 3 4.8s together for him to run at 2500 for hrs.either doin a 2 barrel holley or some type of injection.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Normal closed-loop O2 sensor "self-learning" EZ EFI from FAST. Dual quad kit. Comes with second TB that has no sensors. All sensors on the first one. I believe they are 80lb injectors. 600hp single TB, 1200hp dual.

You CAN teach it yourself, if one wants to really tweak it (change jets, if you will).

I have the single setup on a '69 PU, 355, mild cam, 700r4, 3.23 rear. Gets 18mpg (not aerodynamic - unless a BRICK is aerodynamic) and runs like a scalded dog. Does everything they say it will.

Basically went with it due to not wanting to change intakes on that new motor. Otherwise would have gone MPFI. However, the main "nice" thing is IAC. Turn on the AC - idle stays the same. Put it in gear - idle stays the same. Dual fans come on - idle stays the same.

Therefore, I really see the boat application here. Jet is pretty constant. Well, ok, REAL constant. No in/out. But outdrives or Vdrives would benefit from the nicer idle quality.

    Just an idea.

Why not tune the 750s and run them? I ran two 4779-9s on my 467 and it ran fine. You might need to lean out the IFRs but I wouldn't waste my time or money on smaller carbs. For what it's worth I run PVs in the primaries too. Lots betters mpg for cruising and skiing.

Be a real seller if the price cld get around a grand to 1200. Make it a cheap option for blowthru guys to consider when on a budget that only affords a carb.after fighting my carb to perform as i wanted id gladly hand over the scratch for a nice tbi setup like that if itd meet my hp goals.ive seen your setup in mags but glad to hear some firsthand on em.when my kids graduate im buying a 19ft from prob shoemaker have b1 setup intake and bottom then im building a efi 1200hp ls deal on twins and pumpgas.itll be my gift to myself outta the childsupport i wont have to pay by then lol

if ya got 750s randall jus tune em.need to take all that boat selling money and do a blowthru motor
