Those aren't trick. Trick ones are made of aluminum.

Keep in mind, that was cutting edge stuff. 1 year earlier, the head looked like this.

That was a major improvement over a flat head.Who makes that head for the 312?Surprised there is enough demand for those to reproduce them.

They are from a company call Mummert. I believe they are cast by Edelbock. That's the beauty of today's technology. You can CAD up the head, make the tooling and cast them pretty quickly and for a reason cost. Who would believe their was a market for 348/409 alum heads AND blocks???

Who would believe people would still be messing with Buick V6s????

John Murrert and his son Geoff designed those heads.

Geoff is building my 427 ( FE) for me. He is an airflow fanatic and is working on those Survival Motorsport heads I got. Geoff did the heads on the 565 and a couple other things I've done over the years.

they've built a few strong Y-blocks, John keeps trying to tell me to ditch the 565 and try one out in the boat

Hey, kind of like a LS, only 40 plus later
Same idea, just need to turbo the flock out of it to make 1500 HP.
Those heads are kind of trick with a nice chamber shape.
A Y block painted flat army green is better looking than a fully polished LS

Pretty cool renovation of a relic. The two top ports could be made to work pretty well...the two bottom ones...meh, not so much.
