Posted this is in tow section but no response. Hope you guys don't mind helping me out on my tow vehicle's carbatater.
Vehicle is a 4-WD 73 'Burb with a smallblock, T-350. All it does is go up and down a really steep launch ramp and an even steeper driveway. Always w/out issue until this past weekend.
Carb is an Edelbrock 600-ish (Looks like a Carter). When pulling my driveway, the truck "bobbled".. Not a backfire, more of a really long miss (like 1 second)... Driveway is really really steep, so this had my full attention. It then picked up and went back up the drive. I thought there might be a fuel pickup issue, so I added 15 gallons of gas. The next day, it did the same thing at about the same spot. Still suspect fuel.
Not happy w/ throught of a dead vehicle on that driveway with a boat behind and a Burb full of people. I would really HATE to try to hold it on the driveway w/out power breaks...
Wondering if there's a fuel filter in the carb at the inlet?? Edelbrock's website didn't mention one but trying to confirm. No filter between pump and carb currently.
What else should I be looking at??
