Default Lash setting solid roller Ti intakes

    thought this was pretty good:

    278/284 @ .050, .780 gross lift

Set the lash before the 4th July weekend: set at .024" cold

three day weekend put about 110 miles in the engine. Went back last weekend and put a bit over 30 miles on it on Saturday.
Decided to run the valves tonight and 15 of the 16 were just where they were 140+ miles ago. # 7 exhaust was a tad tight.

Sleeper, Don't beat your'e self to death over it! As I am sure you already know it is real easy to run valves and be coming on the ramp (or off) and miss one once in a while! Run them again and recheck! The best part is the valves don't grow on a cam or lifter problem! Good luck! M Normally a valve adjust will grow with a failure in the cam or valve train My bad!!! I am beyond sure you know what you are doing------everybody is human!!!

Hard to beat shaft rockers and lash caps for holding a lash. Says a little about the camshaft too that doesn't beat your valve train to death.

Like Old guy said, don't beat yourself up over it

Congratulations on a stable happy valve train w/out harmonic issues. No mix matched parts or flexy flyer pushrods. Shaft mounts help too!

You need to look into buying the lsm lashing tool. Its not a option when it comes to lashing a engine. Its a built in torque wrench also. I've been using them for probably 10 years. It really speeds it up. I'm sure you might not care in the boat, but at the dyno or between rounds there help full. There spring checker is the shit too. Its only $240. I've used $1,100 buckston ones and the lsm one rocks.

One of Dan Crower's specials ... same cam since 2003. Most of that 140 miles was done at over 4,000 rpm on long runs.

I know the tool you're talking about.... been meaning to buy one for at least 7 years, but then again I've been meaning to join the So Cal Procrastinators club for the past 18 years, just never seem to get around to it.

The LSM lashing tool is a life saver. Cool thing about it is you can use it to torque the Torx bolts that hold the rocker to the stand as well.

Manley ... they started as 2.40's ... they'll now make a good set of 2.30's ( they are set aside for another use)

    Un-coated
