Hmmm...something seems to be amiss here!...i have 3 different blowers sitting in my shop & all my 8mm pullies fit just fine!...i dont ever re-call any pullies (1/2" or 8mm etc) haveing a different size hole in the middle?...they should all mount flush to the snout...if its too small, just hone it out til it fits!

Will it hurt anything if you space it out? The blower shop sells spacers from a quarter inch to two inches. Just a solid spacer dont see how it would hurt anything.

Call the Blower shop and hear it from the Horses mouth. I am spacing my pulleys out and it looks pretty solid.

I would think the bearings in the snout would not be as happy as they could be. You will be putting more leverge on them as you space the pulley out.
I ran the short snout on my 8-71. You must be running a balancer and a pulley or 2.

Also what intake are you using? Some of the older ones move the blower towards the mag.

Those are the manifolds that move the blower back. I had to mill down the center of the bearing cap to clear a supermag. Life got better when I bucked up for a different intake.
