    Default Starter/Flywheel

Hey guys, Had my Truck yesterday at the cruise/car show......Upon starting....had a slow crank/bumping/jumping, shake the truck start.....Took a couple cranks to get started......Started, idles nice.......thought I'd crawl under the truck and check it out today........found areas on the flywheel missing teeth.....starter gear looks worn, but no teeth missing. Also, grabbing the gear, seems to have some play in it...not much....just some side to side...up and down.......Never had this happen before.....any ideas? I'm guessing.....cheap flywheel for one, maybe worn starter bendix? Its a GM ZZ4 350 SBC.....I saw writing on the flywheel.....Handwriting, That said, "New Age". Not sure what that means......Starter seems to be a mini type.......Shoehorned in there, and with the headers blocking view, cant really tell what it is......I thought I counted 9 teeth on it........Anyone have any ideas what could of caused this? All bolts are secure holding starter.........Thanks, Dewey
I’d rather live with a good question than a bad answer.
