Default Blown Gas to E85 ???

454 8/71 8:75 compression what if anything is on the table swapping over to E85 ? Av-Gas here is about $6 a gallon would it be worth the change ? I'd probably just buy 2 new 1050's setup for E85. How hard would getting a baseline tune be ?

Baseline tune wont be hard at all,E85 is very easy to tune -especially with a blower and carbs setup for it

Plan some up grades to the fuel system. A blown deal usually needs a belt driven MFI type pump or a monster electric pump.

The power depends on how much boost you put on it. The biggest gain is in the low and mid range torque

Ok volume ! But if I go mechanical belt driven now I have to run different tanks as it has to be gravity fed correct ? This is not a desirable option !

No, belt pumps don't need to be gravity fed. No different then any other fuel pump.

When I was building my motor I was asking questions about E85 vs gas. The main consideration for me was that was availability of e85. You're going to use approximately 30-40% more e85 than gas from what I was being told. Depending on the size tanks you run, this could majorly impact how far you can run between fill ups. If it's hard to get at your local lake or river spot then you're hauling a bunch of fuel. In the end I chose to stick with gas.
