    Default Spark arrestor

    Checking my float levels on the carb....guess I really never paid attention to the quantity of the screens in my spark arrestor.....counted 5. Boat runs good....so just keep the pak together? What do you guys run? Thanks

    I believe that is called a flame arrested.

    I run 2 of those on a blown motor. When we dyno'd the motor, I put them on for the last pull to see how much effect they had. I lost 2% at full pull. Since it's not a race application I'll give the 2% for safety reasons.

    Cool.....like I said....I didn't know there were that many in the pak.....was thinking different apps prolly remove as needed.....2% is not much....thinking it may also help with a lil restriction for the carb suction and fuel feeding.....thanks, I'll install the way it was.....

    I changed my paper filter over to my flame arrestor and the thing went pig fat rich...ordered a K&N and put that in...engine much happier...well...except the rod knock.
