They work just dandy, lot of custom work plumbing, cooling, adjusting the waste gate, carburation, generally a real pain to get them all hooked up and working right, they produce tons of power however, a lot of guys run them............ They all seem to have pretty deep pockets............... Bang for the buck a blower is a lot simpler system............. more of a no brainer with the same results................... There are pleanty of turbo guys that will go to war on this................. just my .02

You need to start w/ forged pistons and lower it to min of 9 to 1 , I've seen giys mill the domes off and run thick copper gaskets to achieve that, (all the guys I grew up with were low rent)...........H beam rods are not a must but added insurance. The rules change when you start stuffing air into the thing. Best to do it right the 1st time.............. keep me posted!!!!!

Unchained has a ton of info on turbo set ups. Personally, if it were me, I'd go the efi route with the turbos.

Should I build two sets of headers?

Here's what I have that's going on in the barn currently that I'm putting back together. it works quite nicely for pushing a v-drive. may need to up the gearing in your Casale.

I agree with the recommendation for EFI - I believe that is another 15K to do that over carburated. More efficient on the fuel, though does take some playing with to get it dialled in. Carson Brummett would be a good resource to retain, as he knows his turbo stuff.

And here's an EFI setup out of Carson's shop when I was down there on dyno last spring - (now that was an educational 2 days)
