    Default V-6 Shortstar

Anyone here have any first hand experience with the V-6 "Shortstar" engine?

I have one in my sand rail. Thinking about adding a turbo (low boost 6-7). The EFI is not a problem for us. Just curious about the internals.

Ive built a couple for olds powered intrigues etc.. theyre built pretty stout only thing i can assumme may be a issue is the headbolts stretching.suckers are longgggg.had to replace a block once under warranty cuz headbolts pulled threads when i backed them out.gm has a time sert kit for that issue now.runnin lil motors!! The 3.5 shortstar lasts longer than its sister northstar thats for sure.keep us posted if ya turbo it id like to hear the results

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Thanks for the info. Are you aware of anyone that makes a HP head gasket? I'll call Fel Pro tomorrow but didn't see anything in their HP catalog.
