The Rajay 301 E flow turbos were the "standard" of the systems in the late 70's-early 80's, by Banks, Race Aero and PFM. Should be an inexpensive way to add some power to the family cruiser.

boost is adjusted by the waste gate. you'd have to know the turbine, a/r, and compressor size before figuring boost potential. rayjays are pretty small, but should be plenty enough for 12lbs boost.

I got 15+lbs. out of my Rayjay 301e's. Make sure yours don't have a bypass hole drilled in the exhaust housing.

You need to decide what gas you will be running. With no bypass holes they might make a ton of boost, but without racing gas your engine won't survive. Pump gas you might be ok with about 5-7 lbs. The bypass hole is in the bottom of the iron turbo exhaust housing, anywhere from 1/4" to 5/8" was what Banks usually used to use, who knows what you have after all this time, and you didn't mention any brand or markings on the kit. Ignition and fuel become critically important with turbos, and the cooling plumbing also needs to be adequate and correct.
