i know one person that got a 496 short block from dyno-flo, it is in a sanger flat. 2 carbs N/A
so far it is making good power , we put about 20 or so
1/4 mile passes on it,plus 20 minutes of break in on the trailer.
he is running a Oberg filter and every time he opens it up to inspect it.
it has metal chips and sh!t in it.(more crap then i care to see) (does not look like bearing material) it only has 75 lbs of oil pressure,we have changed the oil 3 times already.
i am not sure if it is going to live or it may be eating itself up.
i told him tear it down and have it checked out. just to be on the safe side. time will tell.

I have not purchased an assembled short block, but have two short block kits that we put together and are running. One is in a Seven second dragster and the other is in a dragster running in the 8.30 range. We found some issues with the injection system and expect to see an increase in performance over the 8.30 times. We have not had any problems with either of them.

Good feedback from me...... I bought a 532 BBF shortblock from them for my boat, and it is doing great. Not too much time on it yet, but I'm happy so far.

I'm in northern Utah, and they shipped it in a timely matter.

I bought 2 rotating assemblies from them. recently within the last month.

They did not deliver even close to when they said they would.

They came balanced. We re-balanced them.

and.. when parts were mixed up in shipping. They said they do not do tracking numbers. Don't worry they will show up.

They eventually showed up but absolutely no peace of mind. Could not follow up on anything.

When asking for the person that sold me the parts. 90% of the time he was not available to talk and the other guy could not help me with my questions because it was the other guy that helped me.

Long story short. I eventually got everything but was extremely uncomfortable with the entire transaction. And if i could have not rebalanced them, would have had to pay to get it done. But would not have known any different if not capable of checking it myself.

The Eagle parts were less expensive than buying from Eagle direct but the tolerences were worse than buying from Memphis.

Live and learn I guess. There is always some "get what you pay for" in everything.

I bought a bare block from them. Was supposed to come machined to my specs. Bore was .002" oversize, deck wasn't decked and lifter bores were not honed. Bottom line for me, good deal on parts, but do your own machining and/or assembly.
