    Default Turbo rebuild?

Anyone know what the price range would be to rebuild a couple turbos? These are Turbonetics with cast iron Gentry exhaust housings. I understand the cost will depend on the condition of the units, but I'm just looking for a ballpark idea of cost range. From best case to dooms day.
    Thanks.

Thanks Barry, i will call. I had a local guy, does aviation turbo rebuilds, look at them. He gave me a price of $500/per unit to rebuild, but one turbo had major damage. That one is another $500 for new parts, wheels, shaft, bearings, seals and new housing. He said he will rebuild the other to match. So $1500 for 2 like new units, don't know if that's good, bad or in the middle.

Going direct to the source may not be the cheapest,, but I know you will get an honest answer. Not quite sure what is left that isn't new if you put all the listed parts in the one, sounds like a new cartridge.

Well, I spoke with Mr. Brummett and looks like I'm in the ballpark.

They are really not that complicated.
A rebuild kit for a Borg Warner with a new bearing is around $ 90.

A complete rebuilt cartridge is usually around $ 325.
That's everything except for the turbine housing and the compressor cover.

Do a google search to find a cartridge for your turbo or for $ 1,500.00 you should have 2 new ones.

i think rebuild kits might be about $15per and then you're gonna spend maybe 30mins apiece...

    edit:

you'll need to balance the new parts on the damaged unit.

but come-on people $500 per? 2 bearings, 2 seals and a nut? are you guys crazy?
