    Default Nos info

A family member is going to give me a NOS Pro shot fogger kit still in box never used for my B Day if I can use it.

Question can my motor Handel a small shot?
My motor gen 6 crate 502 AFR's heads roller rockers
    roller cam 660 108 246 @ 50
750 demon carb Hardin Marine XS intake manifold
    Lighting headers
    I believe 8.5-1 or 9-1 compression.
going to put a msd set up on it before summer.

What do you guys think, I don't know to much about NoS, I know its hard on a motor and needs to be set up right. Will my motor even Handel a small shot? I can find more info on the motor if needed. Thanks in advance for any info. Brad

I know a guy that did a 150 shot on a bone stock 350 chevy. He must have run at least 25 bottles thru it in the quarter mile runs he did from the starting line to the finish line....13 seconds on the bottle. Never had a problem!! Not sure on a built motor tho. If I was to guess, I think you could hit it with at least 100 horse as it is. (imo) I'm sure someone here can give you a more solid answer tho.

When you say small I think that kit starts at 225?

I wouldnt be scared to hit it with 200 or less....are the mains studded or stock? On a bbc a plate works good and might be a better system to learn with. My .02

Set up right they live just like any other engine....got one out of the shop that I am sure has had jez I cant even imagine.....4000lbs of nos throught it atleast

Theirs some great literature over at the holley site regarding NOS system. The website below says on a BBC you can use 125-200HP shot on stock parts. Go to www.nosnitrous.com. Good info!!!!
