Default dual core air to water turbo ic

found this ic searching around the net and they're over 100bucks cheap on ebay for the same ic. been scratching my head on what ic's to run and still have a decent appearing motor set-up.
we bought mark's ss upswept headers and i think i can just turn the coldside outlets to point down and back some, feed each side of the ic , then come outta the ic with 3.5 tubing all the way to the carb hat, somewhere on the tube mount a 51mm blow off valve. tried to nail down cfm , but all they keep emailing me is that "yes it will support 2000hp, and only has a ic pressure drop around .2psi at 15psi boost" . so i assume at 28 psi we can expect to see 27ish in the intake after goin thru the cooler, which is fine.let's hear some opinions on it, and i don't wanna hear no shit bout buyin a 1500.00 ic, they can leak too the ic cores will be flushed regularly and pressure tested frequently, as should all air to water ic's.

i saw cheaper 2mm polished tubing kits on ebay, just intercoolers weren't the best price i called just ic's yesterday evening to talk with about the cooler. the man who answered said they pressure test them at 100psi on both sides of the core. i asked him if i bought the thing if he'd refund the $$$ if it failed a pressure test at my radiator shop, he said yes.

been doin research and calling folks who have used these ebay water to air intercoolers with great success so far. 1 guy with a temp gauge in the turbo outlet and intake said they dropped his iat by 200 down to 110-120*, and that's fucking awesommmme now imagine his set-up being cooled by lake water bet it'd drop all the way down to the water temp

anyways, here the thread i start bout these on turbforums, thought some of you fellas may take interest in it, i know we're all trying to save a buck right now. i'm just lucky i get to play with someone else's $$$

well, the ic i like isn't gonna cut it, the ev pro hat inlet is 4in, the outlet on the cooler is 3.5. soooo, i ordered the same ic's but seperate, we'll have to collect them together externally with a y-pipe. wanted to keep it clean looking without so many pipes, but its just not gonna happen

does anyone know where i can buy a straight dual 3in into 1 4inch collector at?

The way they have theirs running in the pic, wouldn't it be more efficient to run the air from the turbo to the top of the intercooler, and the outlet to the engine on the bottom? Just thinking that as the air cools and condenses it'd be easier for it to flow to the bottom than to be pushed up to the top?

you're 100% right good buddy, but we're layin ours so both outlets point up, really no other way for us to do it.

Yea, space is kinda limited in the boats. The lake water is gonna cool the air enough that it won't matter what way they're pointed. It's gonna be fed some damn cold air for sure

we're gonna do whatever it takes to get the intake air temp near ambient temp, so on a 90* day, we shoot for 90* boost, that otta be pretty healthy

on the Procharged setup we did on my nephews boat
I did not take temp readings but before intercooler too hot to touch
the tube, after intercooler it was cool to the touch.

we had an infrared temp gun but it would not work while moving??

    on a 95 degree day I'm guessing it had 80 degree IAT's
