Default Mobil 1 V-Twin in Boat Application ?

Anyone use this 20/50 in their Boat Motor ? It has way higher Phosphorous and Zinc levels than the Std 15-50 Race Blend

Pretty sure this is what GN7 recommended in the LOOONG thread on oils. Walmart is the cheapest at $9.97 unless you go to Summit who does a price match plus a dollar less. I use the oil to fill out the $100 free shipping if I only need something small, so by now I have a shelf full.

    Why 20/50?
Bob really liked the 10/40 4T but also told me the 10/40 High Mileage was a really good oil for a lot less $$$.

It has way higher Phosphorous and Zinc levels than the Std 15-50 Race Blend
    Does that make it better?

Don't know Scott ? , that's why I posted this ...it seems everywhere you read about performance and engines someone always states the more Phosphorus and zinc the better ? Or else why would so many companies sell them as an additive ?

I've run it or the standard 15/50. Bob and I had many a conversation about it.

It is true Bob liked the 10/40 too, but the 10/40 will get thinner if you beat the hell out of it. If you typically park on a sand bar and then make a few passes and relax for a while the 10/40 will be fine. If you run your boat for 10-20 miles hard and make back to back passes the heavier oil might keep it's psi better.

I'm trying to remember if it was my 565 or the 528" that Bostick built. I swapped out the 20/50 for 10/40 M1 high mileage and dropped 8 psi of oil pressure.
