    Default Supercharger coatings????

Since my boat will be at Skater for a few months, Larry's Engine and Marine have my motors out. We are just doing spark plugs and impellers, maybe new tranny coolers.......anyway, here is my question.

I know high perfromance coatings are getting more and more popular. I have my pistons and such done, but what about my blowers, BDS 1471's??? Besides the rotors which are hard anodized, is there any benefit in doing the cases?? Maybe help shed the heat??? Intercooler case also???

    Hmmmmmm

about the only thing you can do to the blower case is teflon coat it. they do this to get tighter tolerances . do not strip the rotors unless you are drag racing and need every pound possible they wear and break off, i just bought ans intercooler i believe they are the best free[$1500.00] hp you can get i have installed my but not ran it yet, still plunbing it good luck

Don't worry about the blower coating.Bds probably understood the application figuired the intercoolers would handle the heat. Maybe some heat transfer could be decreased, the cost and hassle ain't worth the small improvement.

Are you asking about the interior or exterior of the case?

My buddy polished, then candy apple red powdercoated a 1471, mainly because the magnesium turns dark over time. Its been five years now and still looks insane. The candy is a clear, so you can see the polish though the red.

Can you get some pics of that? I thought about doing mine Candy Blue but I think it would be just to much over done.

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"
