    Default C&J

C & J Engineering in Santa Fe Springs right at Valley View and the 5 fwy. 562-229-0222. They did mine a few years back, all I had to do was turn the idle a 1/4 down other than that the carb was perfect.

    Thanks.

I called them. While I have heard a lot of great things about that shop, I'm going to pass. When I called to inquire, I wasn't impressed with the person's attitude over the phone. My have been a one time thing, but I don't care. Be nice to potential customers.

I need a Holley rebuilt. It sat for a awhile, so when I ran it, it ran rich and terrible. I want it completely gone through. No crazy race application or anything.

do you know anything about the internals of the carb. power valves and current jetting also floats and squirters. reason for questions it could be a simple fix and low dollar. I would be more than happy to take a look at it and check the carb out. Mark

Thanks for the offer. I don't off hand know any real specs other than it's a Marine Holley 750, 4 barrel. Electric choke, vacuum secondary. It feeds an Indmar 502.

I checked the float level on the water, it was good. When looking into the carb while pushing throttle, fuel sprays inconsistently from the squirter. It was pinging, popping and blowing a lil black smoke on the water. I cruised it at 3500RPM for about 15 seconds, killed the engine, then pulled a spark plug to inspect. It's clearly running very rich. It's leaking a little fuel too. I'd like to have the surfaces machined, have it all gone through then ran on an engine before I take it back to the river and put it back on my boat.

    Default Carb

Check needle and seat or power valve. Might be an easy 10 minute fix.

C&J engineering is the best around. Good customer support and fast turn around.

it's not to hard figure out that you have gasket issues and power valves that are blown.A simple kit will cure most of these BUT it may need a jet change and squirter adjustment. It's bleeding fuel and probably air in all the wrong places. JMLAO. M

I know what you mean but you won't regret bringing it by. Phones aren't everyone's thing. Guy was super nice and extremely helpful. Did both of mine and they were perfect
