    Default Another bbc cam question

472ci, 10-1, aluminum oval port heads 2.25/1.88, dual plane intake, 830cfm Holley, logs with 4" tips. Switching to hydraulic roller. Currently A impeller, will always be A or AA. 21' open bow ultra.

i want to stay at 114 lobe separation, I know 112 is ok but 114 gives me more of a warm fuzzy feeling. These are cams I like so far...

Just got a deal on this cam, seems pretty good for a jet boat.
    lift .566/.578
    duration at .05 224/230
    lobe separation 112
    comp cam hydraulic roller

What does lobe sep. have to do with anything?
What "oval port" heads do you have? What rpm do you intend on running?

Lobe separation at least 112 and .05 duration 235 max for wet exhaust. Max rpm 5500, if I reach 5500 with an A impeller I will switch to A2. Pro comp 305cc intake runner oval port heads, having them inspected and built right now. They actually looked good, no issues with them yet. Just judging by everything I have read I half expected a box of melted aluminum poored into a cardboard box to arrive at my door.
