    Default Valve Diameters??

What are the stock Intake/Exhaust valve diameters on a set of 14081052 or 14092359 cylinder heads? Those are large oval port cylinder heads that came on 366 tall decks and 427 tall deck Chevy engines. Also not sure if this will help or not but here's a picture of them, but i forgot to measure them while i had them off and now im just plain curious. haha

    Thanks

According to my book, they are large oval ports, with the small factory valves, which are 2.06" and 1.72".

Very similar to the 353049's that came on my 454.

Ought to work decently but the valves sure could use being enlarged to the large factory standard 2.19/188's for a boat.

Yea, spent about $350 on mine while having porting done too.

Between the 2, sure woke my engine up tho.
I paid my head grinder $200 every 2 weeks most of the winter.

Hard to find anything factiory iron anymore with the large valves unless it's a rectangle port and IMO those are too big for 90% of the jets out there, especially atop a sub-500" engine.

I could never have just larger valves put in though, id want to upgrade my whole valvetrain (new cam, roller lifters, bigger pushrods, roller rockers, better springs, etc.) and some porting done to go along with the larger valves, and hopefully handle a few more RPMs. So we're talking quite a bit of scratch here. I'll just have to settle for dreaming and looking at all the nice stuff here for a few more years. Thanks again for the valve info Smokin'.
